There is a tax that is presented on products and services focused on women, which only and exclusively is related to the presentation, advertising and design that is given to those mentioned products, even though it is the same used by men but with a different presentation, nevertheless this situation causes a higher price for women's products, a situation known as “pink tax”.
In accordance with the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Users Services (CONDUSEF for its Spanish acronym), said “pink tax” consists of an increase in the price of products aimed for the female sector as opposed to the one focused on articles aimed for the male sector , since in some cases is more invested in the advertising and design of feminine products, which requires that producers and manufacturers raise their cost what directly impacts women´s economy, who according to surveys , sometimes receive a salary below than men.
Derived from the above, I would recommend women to buy a generic product or male version, since they will be purchasing the same product as it is sale for women, only with a different presentation and at a lower cost.
